MCA has obtained funding to install permanent electric barbeques, shelters & table settings at the Murrumbateman Recreation Grounds. $58,000 is to be received from the NSW Clubgrants Category 3 Community Infrastucture. MCA will also contribute additional $$$$ & volunteer in-kind works
The inclusive facilities are for community use, sporting/community groups can use to support their fundraising or just to cook food for an event, training or competition. The facilities will also support larger gatherings & general public use. Groups will no longer have to carry in/out portable BBQs, gas bottle & marquees – improving safety for all. The project will be finished in late 2025
The project is supported by Murrumbateman community and sporting groups, Yass Valley Council and Wendy Tuckerman (Local NSW State Member).
