MCA has successfully obtained a grant to install permanent electric barbeques, shelters & table settings at the Murrumbateman Recreation Grounds. $58,000 from the NSW Clubgrants Category 3 Community Infrastucture, additional MCA $$$$ & volunteer in-kind works will see the project complete late 2025.
The inclusive facilities are for community use, general public use, sporting/community groups to support their fundraising or just to cook food for an event, training or competition. Groups will no longer have to carry in/out portable BBQs, gas bottle & marquees – improving safety for all.
The project is supported by Murrumbateman community & sporting groups, Yass Valley Council & Wendy Tuckerman (Local NSW State Member).
