About The MCA

The Murrumbateman Community Association (MCA) is a voluntary, not-for-profit, community-based association promoting a rural-residential lifestyle, and recreational activities and services for the Murrumbateman community.

We began in March 1936 as Murrumbateman Agricultural Bureau and Progress Association (MABPA). We assist residents and community groups by providing legal and statutory cover, representation and support, including obtaining industry and government grants for community facilities.

We consult with community to lobby governments to inform considered strategic planning and delivery of assets to enhance the lifestyle of residents and community.

We Support Community

The MCA is dedicated to representing community interests and advocating for community benefits by engaging with the Yass Valley Council, as well as State and Federal governments.

As a central association for community initiatives, we focus on organizing events and activities that bring people together. Since our inception, MCA events have raised over $1 million, which has been reinvested into recreational facilities and support for local community and sporting groups.

We invite everyone in the community to contribute to the MCA’s vision by attending our meetings, following us online, participating in feedback forums, and joining our key events. Your involvement will ensure your voice is heard, support considered growth for Murrumbateman, and strengthen our community—all while enjoying yourself and making new friends!

We encourage you to share your skills to help the MCA deliver the services and opportunities that you and the community desire for a thriving Murrumbateman.
