We Support Community

The MCA is dedicated to representing community interests and advocating for public community benefits by engaging with the Yass Valley Council, as well as State and Federal governments.

As a central association for community initiatives, we focus on organizing events and activities that bring people together. We are supported by real community volunteers and our events showcase local businesses and community groups.  Since our inception our events have raised over $1.6 million which has been reinvested into our community to support local groups, recreational and other infrastructure.  Our support is multi-facetted being in-kind, volunteering and financial.

We invite everyone in the community to contribute to the MCA’s vision by attending our meetings, following us online, participating in feedback forums, and participating in our key events. Your involvement will ensure your voice is heard to support considered growth for Murrumbateman and strengthen community—all while enjoying yourself and making new friends!

We encourage you to share your skills to help the MCA deliver services and opportunities that you and the community desires for the local character of Murrumbateman.

Our Vision

A vibrant and sustainable Murrumbateman and regional community.

Our Purpose

Working for the benefit of the Murrumbateman community through support, representation and advocacy of its interests.

We are currently working with Council to support a positive move to open a new greenfield site to deliver modern multi-facilities, play spaces & sporting fields. This can happen in stages as funding is available – start small for an urgent need then expand to a regional destination park & tourism attraction. Our existing Recreation Grounds have reached maximum capacity and a new area will provide future diverse, modern leisure and sporting opprtunities.
