The Murrumbateman Progress Association (MPA) is a voluntary, not-for-profit, community-based association. It assists community members to conduct their various activities within the community by providing legal and statutory cover, representation and support. The MPA has granted more than $1million back into the local community over recent years. The MPA is the umbrella organisation to a number of local initiatives and events such as the Murrumbateman Field Days, the Australian Cool Climate Wine Show, the Murrumbateman Menshed, the Murrumbateman Village Markets and the annual Christmas Carols. Originally formed on 2 March 1936, the MPA was called the Murrumbateman Agriculture Bureau and Progress Association. It was renamed the Murrumbateman Progress Association in 2014 and continues to promote rural activity, efficiency and improved standards of living for the Murrumbateman community in general. The organisation has witnessed many changes and supports the ongoing growth of our town and the community. We invite residents to come to a meeting, make new friends and get involved in the local community.
