About the Murrumbateman Community Association Inc
The use of the name Murrumbateman Community Association (MCA) commenced in March 2023. We have modernised to build upon our historic beginnings in March 1936 as Murrumbateman Agricultural Bureau and Progress Association (MABPA) with a change in 2014 renamed as the Murrumbateman Progress Association (MPA). Some administrative changes relating to this new name are being progressed.
We are a voluntary, not-for-profit, community-based association run by volunteers promoting rural-residential lifestyle, recreational activities and services for the Murrumbateman community. MCA assists community groups by providing legal and statutory cover, representation and support, including obtaining industry/governments grants for community facilities. MCA is committed to represent wide community views to advocate for community benefit through lobbying the local Yass Valley Council, State and Federal governments. We are an overarching association for community initiatives and working towards organising more events and activities to bring community together. Over $1 million has been raised by MCA events to go back to the community for delivery of recreational facilities and support to local community/sporting groups. We invite all in the community to attend our meetings, chat at our Murrumbateman Markets stall or contact us directly. You will make new friends and we ask that you share your skills to help MCA deliver what you and community want to see as part of the growth and vitality of Murrumbateman.

Supporting the Community
MCA advocates for development and change that enhances community and the attractive rural setting of our town, for and on behalf of the community.
