MCA IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE we have obtained funding to install permanent electric barbeques, shelters & table settings at the Murrumbateman Recreation Grounds. A grant of $58,000 from NSW Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastucture covers the major costs and MCA will also contribute additional $$$$ & volunteer in-kind works.
These inclusive facilities are for community use, will support fundraising by sporting & community groups during events (training or competition), for family gatherings & general public use. People will no longer have to carry in/out portable BBQs, gas bottles & marquees – improving safety for all. Bookings for events within the Grounds are done through Yass Valley Council.
This project has the support of Murrumbateman community/sporting groups, Yass Valley Council & Wendy Tuckerman (NSW State Member of Parliament), and will be completed in 2025.
